Our Tom

 

We made it!! Tom went to Noosa and then got back to Melbourne safetly.

We had fantastic flights and the Qantas staff were brilliant. Even the Captain pulled some strings so that the pusher would be returned to Tom on the plane when we arrived in both Brisbane and Melbourne . Sadly though the ground staff "missed it" in Brisbane and it went to the carousel. This didn't please that captain so she organised with the ground staff for a loan pusher and a trip on the people movers to take Tom from the plane to the Carousel.....We had much better luck in Melbourne and it was returned to the plane. What a lucky boy for so many people to help him. Tom slept for most the the flight to Brisabe waking up as decent started and proceeded to babble, blow raspberries and smile to those that wanted to listen. On the return flight he babbled and smiled all the way. Tom and his parents want to say thanks to all at Qantas that helped make Toms first flights so easy!

 

Tom didnt like the cold water much. As i lowered him

into the sea he raised his legs!!

Tom's recent achievements

  • Tom is only on Oxygen at night (unless he is unwell)
  • Tom is drinking fluids from a spoon (Max Brennar Hot Chocolate is his favorite and he will use a cup for this)
  • Tom is eating much better and a larger variety of foods and textures
  • Tom is sitting on his own! (he still needs someone by his side.)
  • Tom is playing more activley without someone doing it for him. He loves hamering balls (but not his finger!)
  • Tom is learning to build towers (and how to knock them down)
  • Tom loves McDonalds chicken nuggets
  • Tom is due for his fourth haircut
  • Tom has has his forst dental checkup
  • Tom loves the beach at Port Douglas
  • 2 Aug 2010 - Tom is home!!! 
  • 31 Jul 2010 - Tom is in Singapore
  • 24 Jul 2010 - Tom is in London
  • 22 Jul 2010 - Tom is in Paris
  • 21 Jul 2010 - Tom is in Vienna
  • 21 Jul - 2010 - Tom has graduated from the No Tubes Clinic
  • 12 Jul 2010 - Tom is back in Graz
  • 10 Jul 2010 - Tom is in Salzburg
  • 4 Jul 2010 - Tom's NG Tube was removed
  • 4 Jul 2010 - Tom is in Graz
  • 30 Jun 2010 - Tom is in Vienna
